KALONA CREAMERY, AN OPEN GATES GROUP ENTITY, RETAIL SHOP AND DELI OPENING SOON

Kalona, IA (May 3, 2016) – Kalona Creamery, a member of the Open Gates Group family of companies, has announced that Kalona Creamery Shop & Deli will open in the fall of 2016. Kalona Creamery Shop & Deli, located on Highway 1 outside of Kalona, Iowa, will feature numerous Iowa and Midwest made products, including squeaky cheese curds, Kalona SuperNatural™ organic dairy, Hoard’s Bakery goods, Oasis The Falafel Joint™ hummus, and much more! The Shop & Deli will feature delicious, high quality-made fresh daily-soups, salads, and sandwiches.

After the Kalona Shop & Deli is opened, the company will rebrand the Hwy 1 corner to be Kalona Creamery Corner. This area will eventually become a campus-style facility consisting of the shop & deli, a dairy production facility and more! A comprehensive plan for the Kalona Creamery Corner and the  production facility is still under review, but the company tentatively plans dairy production to begin at this facility in 2017.
