Kalona Cheese Curds Coming August 2018

We’re excited to announce that fresh, Kalona cheese curds will return in August 2018! Kalona Creamery is thrilled to share this news with you as this is the first time cheese will be made at this facility since Twin County Dairy closed its doors in 2014.

“We are excited to bring back fresh, squeaky cheese curds to this historic facility,” said Bill Evans, CEO. “We appreciate the support we’ve received from the community. As we’ve said before,  we want Kalona Creamery to be a sustainable and long-term business in the Kalona community.”

Save the Date!

To celebrate, we invite you to our cheese curd  launch party on August 11, 2018, from 9 am – 5 pm. This free, family-friendly event will feature samples, photos with ‘Lona’ the cow mascot, a cheese curd eating challenge and shopping. Attendees can participate in the Kalona Cheese Curds Relay Challenge for a chance to win a free bag of cheese curds!

Other Exciting Things

In addition to the cheese curds, Kalona Creamery also serves house-made ice cream, sells hand-rolled butter, and features numerous Iowa vendors and unique gifts.
