Visit Kalona Creamery for Kalona Days
Kalona Creamery Shop & Deli is excited to participate in the 2018 Kalona Days celebration happening June 23, 2018. This year’s theme is “Celebrate Our Roots.” To showcase our roots, Kalona Creamery will be sharing a presentation of the property’s history in our front lobby. The Pastor of Upper Deer Creek Mennonite Church and local community member, Elmer Miller, will be on-site to discuss Amish and Mennonite history from 12:30-3 pm.
Celebrate Our Roots
Kalona Days is a free, family-friendly event where everyone is welcome to celebrate Kalona through a variety of activities. All Kalona Days activities will be held in downtown Kalona.
The Kalona Days event includes:
- 1 mile or 5K Fun Run – 7:40 am
- Parade – 10:00 am
- Kids’ tent and tractor pull – 11:30-4 pm
- 1-on-1 Basketball – 1 pm
- Entertainment – 11:30-4 pm
- Food – 11:30-4 pm
Other Involvement from our Family of Companies
As many of you know, Kalona Creamery is a member of the Open Gates Group family of companies. Not only is Kalona Creamery excited to support Kalona Days, but another entity in the Open Gates Group family, Kalona Organics, is also participating. Kalona Organics, owner of the Kalona SuperNatural brand, will be donating organic chocolate milk at the fun run finish line. Open Gates Group will be making an appearance in the parade, which begins at 10 am.
